Cloud Gate (The Bean) | Chicago, IL

The past two weeks I've been recording video interviews for IA | Interior Architects, first in New York, and now in Chicago. I had a few moments of free time to take these extreme-wide angle photos of the Cloud Gate (The Bean) sculpture located in downtown Chicago. In the close-up photo where you see my reflection, I am literally within about a foot of the sculpture. Having a wide-angle (fisheye) lens allowed me to be that close and still capture the entire image.

I love using my 7.5mm lens for landscape photography. You normally would avoid using it to take photos of people because of the lens distortion, but for inanimate objects, it certainly provides a unique perspective. Enjoy the photos!
